Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes about 2 dozen

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter (unsalted, softened)
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream butter and both sugars together using an electric hand mixer. 
  • Add honey, eggs, and vanilla and mix until well combined. 
  • Add flour mixture and mix until dough forms. 
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • (Optional) Refrigerate the dough for anywhere from 2 - 48 hours.
  • Scoop and roll into 2 Tbsp sized balls, place 2 " apart on baking sheet and slightly flatten each ball.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly brown around the edges and the centers no longer look wet. 
  • Let sit on pan for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool.
