Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes about 2 dozen
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats (optional)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 sticks butter (unsalted, softened)
- 4 Tbsp honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and both sugars together using an electric hand mixer.
- Add honey, eggs, and vanilla and mix until well combined.
- Add flour mixture and mix until dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- (Optional) Refrigerate the dough for anywhere from 2 - 48 hours.
- Scoop and roll into 2 Tbsp sized balls, place 2 " apart on baking sheet and slightly flatten each ball.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly brown around the edges and the centers no longer look wet.
- Let sit on pan for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool.
These are perfect for when you’re craving a classic chocolate chip cookie, yum!
